Six Athenas Earn Academic All-District Honors for CMS Cross Country/Track and Field

Sydney Behrens was one of six Athenas honored
CLAREMONT, Calif. - Six members of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's cross country and track and field teams earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced today.

The CSC Academic All-District and All-America Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. Nomination for the award requires meeting minimum standards of both athletic participation and cumulative grade point average.

Elle Marsyla, Riley Capuano, Sadie Drucker and Hope Dragseth were honored after competing on both the cross country and track and field teams, helping the Athenas win SCIAC titles in both and finish third nationally in cross country and sixth in track and field. Senior Josephine Jett and senior Sydney Behrens also earned the honor from the track and field team in the spring.

The Academic All-America teams will be announced in mid-July.
