CLAREMONT, Calif. -

Houk had six tackles, including two sacks, to lead the CMS football team to a near shutout over Lake Forest (before settling for a 14-7 win when Lake Forest scored with six seconds left). Houk's six tackles included three for losses, one for no gain, one for a one-yard gain, and one for a two-yard gain.
Houk began the game with a third-down sack on the first Lake Forest possession. He also stuffed a run on 3rd down for no gain in the fourth on the first play after CMS had taken a 7-0 lead, and had a two-yard tackle for loss in the closing seconds with Lake Forest on the CMS 1-yard line, before they scored on the ensuing play.
CMS will be back in action on Sept. 20, when it travels to take on George Fox for a 1 p.m. contest.
