SPOKANE, Wash. - The 4x400 relay team of
Max Even,
Oliver Thompson,
Ellis DelVecchio and
Jaden Rattay earned a 3:15.88 at the Whitworth Invitational on Saturday, which ranks at the tenth-best time in Division III in Indoor Track and Field season.
The top-10 team time gives the Stags a chance to qualify for the indoor nationals next month, pending other indoor results in the next two weeks. CMS also won the 4x400 at Whitworth, and also placed first in the 4x200, with Even, Owens,
Evan Siegel and Rattay clocking a 1:29.07.
In other action, DelVecchio ran a 1:53.93 in the 800 meters, which places him 56th in Division III this season, while ranking him third at the Whitworth Invitational.
Even also cracked the top 100 in Division III in the 200 meters with a 22.03, placing him at No. 87, which ranked eighth at Whitworth. Thompson earned seventh individually in the 400 meters with a 49.87.
Aidan Cho also moved into 87th in the shot put with a throw of 49 feet, 5.75 inches, placing second at Whitworth, with Kavin Prassana fourth and
Grady Johnson fifth. Prasanna placed fifth in the weight throw with a distance of 51'2.25".
Siegel qualified for the finals in the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.75 and topped it with an 8.70 in the finals to place seventh, while
Eric Filson ran a 7.04 in the 60 meters, and placed ninth in the long jump at 21'3.5".
CMS will return to outdoor competition next week when it competes at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers Meet.
