CLAREMONT, Calif. - Graduate student Caleigh Edwards, senior Katie Resendiz, and juniors Tanya Ghai and Cate Shingler earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced today.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom and requires meeting minimum standards of athletic participation and cumulative grade point average.

Edwards, Resendiz, Ghai and Shingler were all regular contributors who participated in almost every game for the Athenas, helping them to a 20-8 final record, as well as postseason SCIAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament bid, the program's first since 2017.

Edwards also advanced out of the district to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced on April 15.
