REDLANDS, Calif. - The CMS 4x400 relay team of
Oliver Thompson,
Richard Burrow,
Aiden Owens and
Jaden Rattay ran a 3:10.59 at the Redlands Final Qualifier on Thursday, moving up to No. 6 nationally and recording the No. 3 time in CMS history.
The Stags came in ranked No. 11 with a 3:11.15, but moved up five spots in the national rankings by taking just over another half-second off its time.
In addition to the 4x400 relay,
Kaden Cassidy had a strong throw in the hammer with a 206'3" in his final tune-up for the NCAA Championships next week. He has the top throw in Division III this season at 213'3", which ranks ninth in NCAA Division III history. Last year, he finished second at nationals at 210 feet even.
CMS will await the official NCAA Invitations this weekend as it looks to send a strong contingent to the NCAA Division III Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin next weekend.
