CMS traveled to Whittier College to face the Poets on Friday and
came back with a pair of emphatic victories. CMS won all 25
swimming and diving events contested on the day with the Athenas
winning 188-24 and the Stags winning 183-40.
Nine separate Athenas won individual events on the day.
Sophomore Heidi Wolfgruber (New Canaan, CT) led the way, taking the
200 IM and 100 breast. Both events were 1-2-3 sweeps for
CMS. Senior Danielle Peebles (La Mesa) took the 100 freestyle

three-meter diving competition. Following that veteran lead,
five different first-year performers won events. Emma Jones

in the victorious 200 medley relay (Tresenrider, Ching Tung (FR,
Hong Kong, China), Bilotti, Jones) and the 200 free relay (Bilotti,
Whitney Dawson (FR, Portland, OR), Sharifnia, Jones).
