CLAREMONT, Calif. - Pierce McShane of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's swimming and diving team earned the SCIAC Swimmer of the Week Award for meets through Sunday, Jan. 11, the conference office announced today. 

McShane won the 200 fly, the 200 back and the 200 IM to lead the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's swimming and diving team to a dominant win over Occidental in its first action of the new calendar year. 

McShane earned the first of his three wins in the 200 fly in 1:55.56, and then won by almost 10 seconds in the 200 back in 1:56.62. His 1:57.02 in the 200 IM capped off the individual races, giving him his third win of the day.

The Stags will be back in action this weekend for a double dual at La Verne, along with Cal Lutheran.
