CLAREMONT, Calif. - Grace Clark of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's water polo team earned the SCIAC Athlete of the Week Award for events through Sunday, March 15, the conference office announced today. 

Clark had a combined eight goals and six assists as CMS swept two SCIAC games from Occidental and Chapman. She tallied three goals and four assists in the Occidental win, and then earned five goals and two assists in the win over Chapman. She scored goals on eight of her 10 shots on the week, and also drew three exclusions in the Chapman match. 

Clark becomes the second honoree for Athenas water polo so far this season, after Natalie Stearns earned the Defensive Player of the Week award after opening weekend at the CSU Fullerton Invitational. 

CMS will be back in action when it plays a pair of matches on Wednesday, taking on Harvard at 4 p.m. before facing Whittier in another SCIAC match at 7 p.m.
