CLAREMONT, Calif. - Alisa Ching earned honorable mention All-America honors and was joined on the All-West Region team by Esther Lee and Christine Yu, the Women's Golf Coaches Association announced at its annual pre-championship awards banquet. 

Ching is ranked No. 29 in the nation in the Clippd computer rankings, with an adjusted scoring average of 73.5 on the year. Lee (52) and Yu (57) also rank in the top 60 nationally. 

The three Athenas have helped CMS to a SCIAC Championship this year and a No. 9 national ranking heading into the NCAA Championships. CMS will host the NCAAs at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, which gets underway tomorrow morning with a 7 a.m. tee time. The Athenas will begin play at 7:45 on the Mountain View course, and then tee off at 7 a.m. on Wednesday at the Firecliff course.

The top 15 teams after Wednesday's second round will advance through to the final two rounds, which will run through Friday.
