Four Stags Water Polo Players Earn Academic All-District

Donovan Davidson was one of four Stags on the all-district team
CLAREMONT, Calif. - Donovan Davidson, Jake Taylor, Thomas Walker and Luke (Bear) Weigle of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men's water polo team earned Division III Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced today.

The CSC Academic All-District and All-America Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. Nomination for the award requires meeting minimum standards of both athletic participation and cumulative grade point average.

The four Stags seniors were all key players on a team that won its second USA Water Polo Division III national title in the last three years, defeating Pomona-Pitzer 9-4 in the national championship match at Axelrood Pool in December. CMS finished with a 24-5 overall record on the season, and earned a SCIAC Postseason title as well.

The Academic All-America teams will be announced in early July.
