CLAREMONT, Calif. - Frankie Fragola of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's soccer team earned the SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor for games through Sunday, August 31, the conference office announced today. 

Fragola earned the honor after scoring both CMS goals in a 2-0 win over No. 17 NYU on Sunday. She scored the first goal unassisted when she got on the back end of a deflection off a corner kick and beat the NYU goalie to the near post midway through the first half. 

Fragola then added a second goal early in the second half, when she got a cross from Ava Allen and used some nifty footwork in tight quarters just outside the top of the six-yard box to create the space she needed for her second. 

CMS will be back in action on Friday when it hosts Life Pacific in its home opener at 7 p.m.
