CLAREMONT, Calif. - Grace Clark, Mason Spencer and Fiona Murphy of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's water polo team earned Division III Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced today. 

The CSC Academic All-District and All-America Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and in the classroom. Nomination for the award requires meeting minimum standards of both athletic participation and cumulative grade point average. 

The three Athena seniors were a key part of a CMS team that won its first SCIAC title since 2006 with a win over Pomona-Pitzer in the conference championshiup match, before ending the year as the national runner-up. 

The Academic All-America teams will be announced in early July.
