CLAREMONT, Calif. - Grace Clark, Valerie Wraith and Jordan LaCour of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's water polo team earned first-team All-SCIAC honors, and Isabel Del Villar captured second-team distinction in a vote of the league's coaches, the SCIAC office announced today. 

Clark earned first-team All-SCIAC honors for the fourth time in her career, after tallying 57 goals and 21 assists during the regular season for a team-high 78 points. She had a season-high five goals three times, including in league games against Chapman and La Verne, and had four goals in wins over Pomona-Pitzer and CSU Fullerton at the Triton Invitational. 

Wraith picked up her third-straight first-team All-SCIAC honor, and had 48 goals to rank second on the Athenas behind Clark, including a season-high five in a win over Chapman. She also had four goals in wins over La Verne and Wagner, and a hat trick in the win over CSU Fullerton in San Diego. 

LaCour, who was the SCIAC Newcomer of the Year last season, has tallied 38 goals this year from the center position, including a season-high four tallies three times, including in a home game against Pomona-Pitzer. She also had four goals in wins over Redlands and Chapman, and three in a one-goal defeat at CSU Fullerton. 

Del Villar made her third appearance on the All-SICAC lists after finishing the regular season with 37 goals and 22 assists. She had three goals and two assists in a key win over Cal Lutheran, and had two goals and four assists in a late-season win over Chapman.

CMS will open SCIAC Tournament play with a home game against Cal Lutheran tomorrow at 7 p.m. The Athenas will be the No. 2 seed after tying No. 3 seed Cal Lutheran for second place at 10-2 in league play, with CMS earning the tiebreaker due to a head-to-head win.
