CLAREMONT, Calif. - Lexie Roth of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's soccer team earned the SCIAC Offensive Player of the Week Award for games through Sunday, Sept. 13, the conference office announced today.

Roth had a great individual effort for a first-half goal to help give CMS a 2-1 road win over Macalester on Sunday. Roth was able to settle a long pass from Carmel Randolph with a leaping trap with her foot at shoulder level. Once the ball fell at her feet 30 yards from goal, she was then able to one-time a chip over the head of the Macalester goalkeeper to put CMS in front 1-0.

The goal was her second key tally of the season, after also picking up the game-winner late in a 2-1 win over UC Santa Cruz last week in the first game ever played at Nakasone Field on Sept. 1.

CMS will be back in action on Wednesday night when it travels to Whittier for its conference opener at 5:30 p.m.
